GETTING STARTED
Admissions, timing, and cost.
What to know before treatment begins—from availability and assessments to insurance and expected length of care.
Renew Health + Recovery is currently accepting new clients in Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Virginia. We are looking to expand into more states as we broaden our footprint nationally.
Beginning treatment with Renew Health + Recovery is designed to be straightforward and supportive. Your journey starts with a brief pre-assessment phone call, followed by a short consent appointment with our Admissions Team. You’ll then complete a comprehensive clinical assessment with one of our licensed clinicians to determine the best treatment plan for your needs.
Once you’re admitted, you’ll meet your care team, begin scheduling services, and start receiving personalized addiction treatment designed to fit your life.
In many cases, clients can start treatment within 48 hours of their initial call. We know that deciding to seek help is an important step, and we’re committed to making the admissions process as smooth and efficient as possible. Our team will work with you to schedule your assessments and begin treatment quickly.
Insurance coverage varies by state. Renew Health + Recovery is in network with many major commercial insurance plans, including Anthem, Aetna, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and others, depending on your location. We can also work with most commercial insurance plans that include out-of-network behavioral health benefits and accept Original Medicare (Part B) and select Medicare Advantage plans in most of the states we serve.
Our Admissions Team will verify your specific benefits and explain any copays, deductibles, or out-of-pocket costs before treatment begins.
If you don’t have insurance or prefer not to use it, we also offer an affordable private pay option with no long-term commitment.
The length of treatment depends on your individual needs and the services you receive. Some clients participate in specific programs for a shorter period, while others benefit from longer-term support.
TREATMENT EXPERIENCE
What care can look like.
Treatment is personalized, coordinated, and designed to fit into daily life while addressing the medical, emotional, and practical sides of recovery.
Every treatment plan at Renew Health + Recovery is personalized to the individual’s needs, so no two experiences look exactly the same. Depending on the program and your clinical recommendations, your care may include individual therapy, care coordination, peer recovery support, medication management, family support, and other evidence-based services designed to support long-term recovery.
Throughout treatment, your care team works together to help you build coping skills, address the underlying factors contributing to substance use, navigate challenges, and achieve your recovery goals. With your consent, we can also collaborate with your existing healthcare providers to ensure your care is coordinated and comprehensive.
Your treatment plan is regularly reviewed and adjusted as your needs evolve, ensuring you receive the right level of support at every stage of your recovery journey.
Renew helps people recover where they live, with an emphasis on the home or transitional living environment, each person’s unique family dynamic, and the broader community. Each client receives direct care from a psychiatric provider, nurse, therapist, family therapist, and peer support specialist.
The care team addresses the medical, emotional, and mental health issues involved in maintaining sobriety and achieving recovery.
Our patient-centered, medically integrated approach is designed to support lasting recovery and help prevent recurrence and readmission to higher levels of care. Renew makes it possible for clients to receive longer-term addiction care while maintaining their privacy and meeting day-to-day responsibilities such as work, school, and family.
Depending on your treatment plan, you’ll work with one of Renew Health + Recovery’s licensed therapists to address the underlying causes of substance use, develop healthy coping strategies, and build the skills needed to support long-term recovery. The frequency of therapy sessions is based on your individual needs and the program you’re participating in.
Your Care Coordinator will meet with you virtually once a month throughout the course of treatment. Renew also has an on-call Care Coordinator who can be contacted after hours.
CARE + SUPPORT
Your providers, family, and services.
Renew coordinates with the people already involved in your health and personalizes support around your treatment plan.
Absolutely. While therapy and other behavioral health services included in your treatment plan are provided by Renew Health + Recovery’s clinical team, we encourage you to continue seeing your primary care provider and any other medical specialists you already know and trust. With your consent, we’ll collaborate with your existing providers to help ensure your care is coordinated and comprehensive.
If you need help establishing care with a primary care provider or another medical specialist, we’re happy to assist.

While many clients participate in family therapy about once a month, the frequency is determined by your care team and may vary depending on your unique circumstances.
